Our History

Doorways Ministries was formed in Fall 2010 with a desire to offer:

  • Personal Days of Prayer and Refection where those who attend can stop, reflect, and make space to be with Jesus. Our Days of Prayer are specifically designed to have a rhythm of community, silence, and solitude.
  • Three, Four and Five Day Silent Retreats at St. Andrew’s House on beautiful Hood Canal where we offer an extended time of silence in community.
  • We also offer a 9-month online program titled Free our Hearts based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola

Few things have such possibility to bring new meaning, energy, and perspective to our life circumstances as a Day of Prayer or a longer Retreat. Our retreats create opportunities to spend some time alone with our Lord while we are in the company of others who are also seeking a deeper walk with Christ.

Our programs and retreats are designed to provide doorways to deepen the prayer of our participants and the lived experience of God’s love, grace, mercy, healing and forgiveness leading to new freedom and intimacy as we live and pray in the company of Jesus.

What We Believe

Apostles Creed

I believe in God,
the Father Almighty,
Creator of Heaven and Earth.
And in Jesus Christ
His only Son,
Our Lord.
Who was conceived
of the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary
Suffered under Pontius Pilate
Was crucified, died and was buried.
On the third day,
he rose again
he ascended into Heaven
and is seated at the right hand
of God, the Father Almighty.
He will come again
to judge the living
and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The Holy catholic Church,
The Communion of Saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body,
And life everlasting.
Amen.
