These One, Two or Three-Day Retreats Workshops
provide an opportunity to get away from the often hectic pace of everyday
living, to listen and be with God. We seek to create structured opportunities
to learn together in community with others who want to explore ways to deepen
their experience of God. Our retreats workshops offer a chance to relax and
give undivided attention to the interests and concerns of one’s spiritual life
in the midst of community.
Three-day Retreat Workshop, July 6-8, 2025 at St. Andrew’s House in Union
Washington facilitated by John Mitchell. This three-day workshop begins Sunday
at 4 p.m. and ends Tuesday by 3 p.m. The cost is $400.
The workshop is
entitled Fix Your Eyes on Jesus. The Epistle to the Hebrews is a book shrouded
in mystery. The author is unknown, the audience is speculative, even the
format is uncertain. One thing is clear, though, the author is convinced that
Jesus is better, better than all that came before, better than any sacrifice,
offering, or teaching. Jesus is the “radiance of God’s glory and the exact
imprint of his being”. Join us as we “fix our eyes” on Jesus and follow his
lead into rest, intimacy, and maturity in our Christian life. In the modern
world, there are many opportunities to turn our attention away from Jesus. In
this workshop, John Mitchell will walk through the exhortation to the Hebrews
looking at how Jesus brings us into God’s rest, how Jesus enables us to draw
near to the Father, and how Jesus inspires us to grow in godliness and
perseverance.
